Body & Soul | "Welcome to the Word"

Body & Soul Bible Study Group

  • All ladies over the age of 21 are welcome
  • We meet at 7:30 p.m. on most Monday nights beginning the Monday after Labor Day `till first Monday in June. (Please check with the weekly bulletin for any changes)
  • We have two annual fellowship dinners
  • We discuss relevant topics of Christian women living in today's society

"Welcome to the Word"

The "Welcome to the Word" bible study has been phenomenal

Since beginning in September 2006, We have had some very enlightening discussions on several topics. We discuss and research topics that interest YOU and how they relate to our lives in the Word.

The following are just someof the topics we covered:

  • Why we study the Bible
  • Colossians 3
  • Noah and the Ark
  • Psalm 19
  • Old Testament trivia quiz
  • Ephesians 6
  • The Holy Spirit Lesson
  • The Armor of God
  • The Laws of God
  • Bible word search puzzle
  • The Interpretation of the "Vision"
  • The Living Bible Video of Matthew

Other weekly topics include: discussing current events and following up with in depth research of a topic anyone suggests. Example: after the Amish tragedy we researched the history of the Amish way of life to learn "why" and "how" they do the things they do. We also have done a few in-class projects, such as "Faith" and "Born Again".

We all have questions. We are all looking for a comfortable setting to ask those questions, be able to speak freely and learn about the Bible and life in "The Word".

Everyone is welcome. If you don't want to come alone, bring a friend. If you have a friend who has questions, bring them to "Welcome to the Word" Bible study and we can fellowship together to find the answers.

You do not have to attend every week. We weill have different topics and discussions (as you can see from the list above) each Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in room 2A in the education wing.
