To Know Christ And to Make Him Known

Long Island Lutheran Middle & High School

Located on a beautiful wooded 32-acre campus in Brookville, Long Island Lutheran High was founded in 1960 by 17 congregations in Nassau and Suffolk Counties. Under the outstanding leadership of Dr. David Hahn our high school was named one of only 218 "Exemplary Secondary Schools" in the country by the U.S. Department of Education. With the addition of a sixth grade and Middle School program in 1996 the school received the new name of Long Island Lutheran Middle and High School. The current enrollment is about 500.

Dozens of Calvary volunteers have given enthusiastic support to the school in a variety of ways -- board of directors, auxiliary, parents' groups, Booster League, etc. 37 Calvary youth attended Long Island Lutheran High in 1967. In recent years several of our young people annually take advantage of this excellent school. Those who apply may receive financial help from the scholarship fund established by Al and Mary Lou Palmison, onetime members of Calvary.
