Stained Glass Windows
The crafting of stained glass windows is a dying art. Preserving our beautiful and irreplaceable stained glass windows is therefore a high priority on our list of 50th anniversary improvements.
As you face the altar, the large windows on the right depict the chief festivals of the church year -- Advent, Christmas, Epiphany, Lent, Easter and Pentecost. The three large windows on the left portray the twelve year old Jesus in the temple, the miraculous catch of fish and the Good Samaritan. The two windows in the back part of the nave show Luther's seal and symbols of heaven. The Baptism window is behind the choir area, and the prayer and Bible windows are on either side of the altar.
