LWML Ladies Guild
Calvary's Ladies Guild was formed in 1951. We are part of the Atlantic District (Nassau Zone) and support the Lutheran Women's Missionary League through our mission giving. We fill our Mite Boxes and the money received is sent on the the greater LWML who use the money to make the love of Jesus known throughout the world.
We also attend retreats, rallys and conventions where we enjoy fellowship and share the Love of the Lord and also raise money through bake sales.
In November, we fill shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child with toys and other needed items. We also make Christmas booklets, which last year were given to the Juvenile Prisoners.
We have a great Sewing Committee who make quilts for Lutheran World Relief, the homeless and wherever needed, and also makes lap robes for nursing homes.
We meet every Wednesday at 10 a.m. bringing a sandwich for lunch, coffee and cake is served for desert by the Hostess of the Day, together with good fellowship. The LWML Motto is "Serve the Lord with Gladness" and that is what we try to do.
