To Know Christ And to Make Him Known

Prayer Chain

The Power of Prayer is indeed very powerful. We have two co-chairmen and 26 dedicated volunteers on our chain divided into two "Day Chains" and two "Night Chains" so those who work also can have the opportunity to serve the Lord. We received 327 requests for Prayers last year and sent out cards to the sick and troubled telling them that "Calvary Lutheran Church is praying for them".

We believe God answers all prayers and have seen some miracles with people the doctors said }there was no hope for" and they recovered completely.

God says "Call upon me and I will answer" and that is what the Prayer Chain is all about.

Prayer Chain News

January 2009

The Prayer Chain had a very busy year in 2008. We have 23 dedicated members who believe in the POWER OF PRAYER and trust in the Lord to answer all prayers. Thank you all for your dedication. We would like to thank Helga Schaffner for her help with the prayer chain. If you received any cards in the mail from various charitable organizations with pictures of birds, flowers or other scenery and are blank on the inside, we would appreciate you donating them to the Prayer Chain. We send them as a comfort and a witness to show that Calvary cares. If the Lord lays on your heart to want to join the Prayer Chain, please call Marion Lowe (486-4449), Mary Bente (731-8171) or Helga Schaffner (735-5629).

December 2008

Marion Lowe & Mary Bente thank the members of Calvary's Prayer Chain for their dedication & faithfulness in praying for the sick & troubled this past year. And we especially thank Helga Schaffner for coming on board to help with the Prayer Chain while Marion has been recuperating. You are a blessing!

We wish you all a blessed Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year!
God Bless all of you!
